Data Deletion Request

Your Right to Erasure (FADP Art. 17)

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/DSG) Article 17 and the EU GDPR Article 17 (where applicable), you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data. Mazdek GmbH respects your privacy and your right to control your personal data.

How to Request Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your data using one of the following methods:

Option 1: Self-Service via Account Settings (Recommended)

  1. Log in to your WhatsOrder account at app.whatsorder.ch
  2. Go to Settings -> Data & Privacy
  3. Click "Export My Data" to download a copy (recommended)
  4. Click "Delete Account"
  5. Confirm by entering your email address
  6. Your account will be scheduled for deletion with a 30-day grace period

Option 2: Email Request

Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include:

  • Your registered email address
  • Your business name (if applicable)
  • Reason for deletion (optional, helps us improve)
  • Whether you want to export your data first

What Data Will Be Deleted

Upon confirmation of your deletion request, we will permanently delete:

  • Your account information and profile
  • Business information and settings
  • Product catalog and pricing data
  • Customer data and contact information
  • Order history and statistics
  • Chat messages and message templates
  • WhatsApp configuration data
  • All associated analytics and reports

Data Export Before Deletion (FADP Art. 28)

We strongly recommend exporting your data before deletion. Under FADP Article 28, you have the right to receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.

Your data export will include:

  • Account and business information (JSON)
  • Customer list (CSV)
  • Order history (CSV)
  • Product catalog (CSV)
  • Chat messages (JSON)

The export can be downloaded from Settings -> Data & Privacy -> Export My Data.

Data Retention After Deletion

Due to legal requirements under Swiss law, some data may be retained even after account deletion:

Retained data is anonymized where possible and stored securely with restricted access.

Processing Time

In accordance with FADP requirements:

  • Acknowledgment: Within 5 business days
  • Grace Period: 30 days to cancel the deletion request
  • Deletion Completion: Within 30 days after grace period
  • Confirmation: You will receive an email confirming deletion

Note: If you change your mind during the 30-day grace period, you can cancel the deletion request from your account settings or by contacting us.

Third-Party Services

Please note that some data may be stored by third-party services:

  • Meta/WhatsApp: Chat messages are also stored by WhatsApp. To manage WhatsApp's data, visit your WhatsApp Business settings.
  • Stripe: Payment information is processed and stored by Stripe. Stripe retains data according to their privacy policy.

Facebook Login Data

If you signed up using Facebook Login, deleting your WhatsOrder account will:

  • Remove the connection between your Facebook account and WhatsOrder
  • Delete any data we received from Facebook (name, email, profile picture)

To manage what Facebook knows about your WhatsOrder usage, visit your Facebook App Settings.
